Happy Easter!

Ooo was the Easter Bunny good this year!  I think the kids had a really good Easter this year.  Due to Brynna's fear of all things furry and animal-like, we decided to skip any visits to the Easter Bunny.  Both kids had Easter parties at school.  Of course the focus of that was more about Jesus than the Easter Bunny, but they still got to decorate eggs and got little Easter baskets with an egg hunt.  Saturday night they got to decorate eggs!  Lots of stained fingers in this house, but Mommy loves all of these fun holidays and the kids just LOVED it too!
Sunday morning, the kids woke up to plastic eggs making a trail down the stairs.  They were both so excited and went on a mini-egg hunt until they got to the bottom of the stairs and saw this...

We played for a bit that morning and of course had some candy and then headed to church.  On the way home, we stopped outside the ice rink to get "snowballs."  This has sort of become a holiday church going tradition for us.  We get the kids snowballs from the discarded ice of the ice rink.  Once we got home we had lunch and then Gordon headed to pick up Nana while I prepped dinner.  Nana came over and got to see Jaden and Brynna swimming (more on that in a later post because they are both FISH)!  Then, Daddy and Jaden sat down to go through all of Jaden's trading cards he got from the Easter bunny.  Jaden loves Hockey so much now that he got Hockey and Baseball trading cards.  He and Daddy were so disappointed by the lack of Penguins and Pirates that they had to buy more cards.  Anyway, Jaden just loves for Daddy to tell him all about the players on the cards.  Brynna was busy with her dolls, bunny, candy and makeup.  Oh that girl loves all things girlie! :)  We had a lovely dinner followed by a yummy dessert and after Daddy and the kids took Nana home, we all crashed.  It was a pretty nice Easter!

Sounds like a nice Easter! The kids are so cute. I love Brynna's pink dress - so girly!
