Kindergarten!!!

Today's was my little girl's first day of Kindergarten!  I can hardly believe she is already in Kindergarten.  The day started out great.  She got right up out of bed when Daddy woke her up.  She was so excited and grabbed the map of her school so she knew where she was going.

Brynna requested pancakes for breakfast and gobbled them up! No fighting at all getting ready which is really a big deal around here.  She helped get herself ready to go grabbed her backpack and was out the door!

Unfortunately traffic was atrocious getting to the school so we were a bit late.  Once we got to the door she walked right in to Mrs. Pummel's!  Didn't really stop and say bye or give hugs and kisses, just dropped her stuff and ran to her seat!  I said, bye and she waved and that was it!  Sniff

Of course I didn't leave right away.  I hung out at the school for the boo-hoo breakfast.  Not really my thing, but I chit chatted and then took a sneak peak back in her classroom and saw her dancing with her teacher and friends.  That was awesome!

So after a long day, she and Jaden rode the bus home.  She loved it!  She came off all smiles and said, "Mommy, I made 6 new friends today!"  She said she met 2 girls and 4 boys (more boys...not surprising).  That made my day knowing she made little friends.  She said Mrs. Pummel was so nice.  She did admit to being a little scared, but she was ok!

We celebrated with dinner at Surf Shack and Nutty Buddies when we got home.  At dinner she told us about the Tootie Ta dance!  Gordon remembered Jaden doing that in Kindergarten too, so we got a little show from Brynna when she got home.

 All in all it was a great first day!
