School Fall Fun

Hmm, what to update!  A lot has happened in the last few months and I don't know where to start.

We'll start with school.  Jaden has been loving school...for the most part!  He started the school year with Mrs. Stern.  He started to make some friends and started settling in, but then about 5 weeks in, he was switched to a new class.  It was quite an upsetting day for him and for us, but it's been a good 5 weeks now and things seem to be much better.  His new teacher is Ms. Mierzwa.  She's much younger and only 2 years in to teaching, but he has really taken to her.  His new best friend is Shawn!  Everyday he tells me what Shawn is up to!  Shawn lives in the neighborhood so Mommy has been tasked with getting a hold of Shawn's family and setting up a play date.  Jaden also gives me daily updates on how everyone behaved!  The kids are assigned a color each day (red, yellow, green) and he tells me who was what.  Jaden has only had 2 yellows so far.  He was quite upset about the first one, but the second one...not so much! He also talks about Avash and a few of the girls, but that changes daily!  Last week I got to chaperone his first field trip.  We went to the Glazier Children's museum.  I was a chaperone for Jaden, Shawn and Avash.  It was very cute, but 3 boys running in opposite directions was quite a handful!
Brynna LOVES school too!  She nearly begs every day to go to school, but she only goes Tuesday and Thursday.  For a long time it was obvious she had a little crush on a little boy named Jackson.  She talked about him every day and that's the only friend she played with.  About 3 weeks ago, she came home and said, "Jackson called me a Yucky and he was bad, so I don't play with him anymore!"  Now, every day she talked about Emma!  Emma is her best friend which is really nice because Emma is the daughter of a good couple friend of ours.  2 weeks ago we had the Spaghetti Fundraising dinner at her school!  Jaden had strep throat so it was just me, Brynna and Grandma.  I always love doing those things, so it was a lot of fun!  Now, we are gearing up for the Christmas program which is great because Brynna gets to get on stage and perform!  She loves running around the house singing...I can't wait!
