Brynna's (Totally Crazy) Orlando Competition

We love figure skating competitions but for whatever reason the Orlando competition at RDV Sportsplex is just not our friend.

Now that both kids are so busy, we have to divide and conquer so Friday night while Jaden had practice, Brynna, Grandma and I drove over to Orlando.  We attempted to get a good night's sleep and then early the next morning over to the competition.  It's always a mess there.  They were behind schedule, didn't know what they were doing, kept messing up where the kids should go.  Well, when it was Brynna's turn I wasn't ready (coach couldn't make it for the first event).  She was a bit shaky on the ice, but still ended up with 1st place!  We later learned they announced the wrong name when she went out there.

 We had a nice 4 hour break in between events so we headed back to the hotel and let the kids run off some energy.  It turns out one of Jaden's hockey friend's big sister figure skates too so they had friends to run around with.

We grabbed lunch at Bubba Lou's Bodacious BBQ which is one of Gordon's favorites.  Of course, we had a tired Brynna who couldn't quite hold it together so that was short lived.

Back to the even we went for Brynna's program competition.  She did well and ended up with 2nd place.  She was very happy that both her and her friend each got a 1st and 2nd.

Did I mention that it was on Valentine's Day? Happy Valentine's day to us!  We did celebrate with the family at dinner with Grandma at Brio in Orlando.  CRAZY traffic and CRAZY busy!  We were happy to get home at the end of the day!
