Brynna vs Jaden

Jaden v. Brynna - November 16, 2014

Jaden is the goalie on the Jr. Lightning Mite team and they have tournaments and Jamborees throughout the season.  Brynna plays on the In-House Mite team and was chosen to play on the All-Star team during the Jamboree that was being hosted by our home rink, TBSA.

So going in, we knew Brynna's team would struggle against the more seasoned teams including Jaden's.  She played defense on the third line (all of the games are 4 on 4 cross ice).  She really held her own and did a great job of clearing the puck.

Brynna's team played Jaden's Jr Lightning team in the 3rd out of 4 games in the Jamboree.  Prior to the game, Jaden's head coach told his boys to let Brynna skate up and get a shot on Jaden.  At puck drop, Brynna got the puck and Jaden's teammates moved out of the way.  She skated up the ice and shot...according to Brynna, Jaden saved it.  According to Jaden, it hit off the post.  Brynna claims Jaden told her that he would let her score, Jaden told us he did not say that...he wanted the shutout.

Jaden did get the shutout, but Brynna's team played their hearts out and Brynna did great.  At the end of the game Brynna came up to give Jaden a big hug and unfortunately he pushed her away...nice Big Brother he is.

We assume this will be the first of many Jaden v. Brynna games on the ice!
