Clearwater Ice Arena Summer Competition

Brynna with Coach Diane
The last competition of the season was in Clearwater this year! :)  It's funny to type this about my 5 year old being in skating competitions.  We are by no means crazy parents that push the kids, but it sure seems like it in these posts.  Brynna had competitions in Brandon, Orlando, Tampa and Clearwater.  She competes at the Pre-Alpha level.  For the first competition in Brandon she only did her Individual Pre-Alpha routine.  For the second two she did Individual as well as Compulsory. Her Individual routine is 1 minute long and she has to demonstrate several skills at this level to music.  For the Compulsory competition she simply skates out on the ice and has to demonstrate to no music, 4 skills in a row.

For the Clearwater competition she did those two as well as the Stroking Competition.  She did great at the firs two!  We're always proud no matter how well she does, but of course I always think she's amazing! :)

She also did very well with her compulsory.

One proud mama!
However, at he suggestion of her coach we added stroking for this event!  My poor little banana was nowhere near ready for stroking, but he went out there and gave it her all!  Her sweet teammate even stopped to help her up when she fell once!  I was sad she struggled, but so proud that she did the best she could!  A few more medals to add to her collection!

Warmup :)
