We have an ice rink in the backyard!

Jaden and Brynna love to skate.  We were at the ice rink for hockey and figure skating 5 days a week, it was growing tiresome.  At the same time, Jaden had asked for an ice rink in the backyard for Christmas.  At the time I thought he was crazy, but then one day at the rink he skated on synthetic ice. 

In January I made a few calls to see if we could replicate this, and by the end of January we were getting a concrete slab poured.  In early February, 16 synthetic ice panels were delivered to the house.  Me and Steph spent about an hour putting down the panels and the kids were out there skating.

They really love it; Jaden practices hockey and Brynna practices her figure skating routines.  Jaden even has goalie equipment now as he told us he was turning into a goalie.

We have a small ice rink, hockey equipment and a skate sharpener...these kids are spoiled!
