Houston in November

This year we thought it would be great to spend Thanksgiving in Houston with Uncle Tommy!  It was awesome!  Of course, Jaden and Brynna just adore Uncle Tommy and he always seems to have so much fun with them.  We got to stay 4 days so we had A LOT of fun.

We got in late the first night so it was pretty much straight to bed, but Wednesday we headed to the Houston zoo.  It was just amazing.  There were so many animals the kids hadn't seen before at our zoo and the Lions were awesome (we got the see the ladies fishing).  We got to see all sorts of "kitties", "Linda" the llama (thank you Dora and Diego), a bunch of elephants, monkeys, snakes, meerkats, different types of giraffes, and of course we had to ride the carousel! It was a great day and the kids walked away with a Jaguar and Snake from the gift shop!

We wrapped up the day with a yummy Mexican meal and headed by to Uncle Tommy's to relax. The next day was Thanksgiving and we had fun walking around the neighborhood.  We stopped and played a park a couple of blocks from Tom's house and the kids got to run out all their energy.  We had a great Thanksgiving meal that night.  The next day was another fun day at the Children's Museum.  It had this crazy climbing thing that Jaden LOVED (you can see it in the background of the first picture...not a flattering photo of Brynna, but still...). Oh man, that thing was hard to climb as an adult.  It was 3 stories worth of climbing and at the bottom was this neat obstacle course thing that the kids had fun with.  Outside was a really cool water display, but it was a bit too cold out for us Floridians so we headed back in side.  It was a really neat museum.

 

 

Everyone was sad to head home the next day, but we had to recover from our fun-filled Houston Thanksgiving! Ok, there's a lot more to update, but this Mommy is tired!  More to come (with a lot more pictures)!
