What a great day!

Today was such a great day!  This is Jaden's last week of school so they had an end of the year party today.  This was the party I signed up for waaaay back at the beginning of the year.  I was so excited.  It was a beach themed party and the kids all had cute little t-shirts with all of their classmates names and thumbprints and little visors with their handprints.  There were 3 party moms so after we dropped off our kids at school we had an hour and half to burn before the party so we hit Einstein Bagels for some coffee and relaxing...I don't think how much we needed that until the party was over!!! :)

So, we get to the classroom and start the party off with making english muffin pizzas with the kids.  They all made their own pizzas and Ms. Bev went to the kitchen to cook them! 

While the pizza was cooking, I got to read a couple of stories to the kids.  First I read "There was an old lady who swallowed a Shell" and the kids LOVED it!  They were having so much fun and so was I (I'll be buying that book ASAP).  They asked me to read it again and was loving every minute of it!  Jaden was so thrilled to have me there reading too.  All of the kids were just too cute!  Then I read "Fish is Fish" which wasn't as big of a hit, but they still loved it! 

After they finished eating We had a little dance party with the class after that.  It was so fun dancing with the kids.  Their favorite was the Bear Hunting song...I'm going to have to find that one!  Then they headed out to the playground while we set up for a cute little craft which was a beachy picture frame with a picture of the whole class with their special t-shirts on!  Each of the kids got to make their own and glue on little pieces.  Cute! The next fun treat was a root beer float!  You know they loved that!  We then played hot potato with a beach ball and beach themed bingo and finally musical chairs.  At the end another mom read another book and we all got ready to go home.  I just loved being in his class with him!


Daddy had volleyball tonight so we ended the day with a little movie night!  We made popcorn and I sat in the middle with the bowl while we all ate popcorn together.  We watched the Incredibles!  Brynna was so stinkin' cute I couldn't stand it!  She was mesmerized by the movie and was picking up one piece of popcorn after another out of the bowl without moving her eyes off of the screen.  Well, at one point I moved the bowl to give Jaden some and without taking her eyes off of the movie was reaching around for the popcorn and once she realized it wasn't there, she looked at me and smiled!  Today was a great day!
