Merry Christmas...a little late

Well, this is long over due so I'll keep it somewhat short. What a whirlwind of a Christmas we had! Our kids are some pretty lucky (read spoiled) kids! Santa brought them a crazy amount of stuff and it took FOREVER to get through it all. Of course the highlight was the Big Red Bike! Oh it was so wonderful watching Jaden's face when he saw his big red bike set up in front of the tree! He wanted to ride it right then and there sooo.... Then there was the Big Wonderful Push button Buz. He'd been asking for these for months from Santa! We can't forget the tons of garbage trucks either. For those that don't know, our little man is OBSESSED with garbage trucks. Every Monday is an exciting day at our house because the garbage man comes 3 times! Anyway, Grandpa Brown got him a great remote control garbage truck and Santa brought him a huge garbage truck and then later he got a couple more garbage trucks from Papaw. He really made out in the garbage truck department and that's great because he LOVES them and plays with them EVERY DAY! There were many other toys too numerous to mention. He played with each and every one of them.
Brynna had a great Christmas too! She wasn't as interested in the gifts as she was all the wrapping paper. Keeping her from eating the paper was one tough job! I think her favorite toys were whatever it was that Jaden had! She's really going after his stuff now and he DOES NOT like it! Of course, he's very protective of her stuff for her too. He won't let anyone play with baby sister's toys!

So, Christmas day we spent here at home with Uncle Tommy (Gordon's brother) and Nana. It was very nice and pretty mellow. Then, 2 days later we were on a flight up to Indiana. Whew was it cold! We were cold for days after we got back. It was so nice to see everyone for the first time in a very long time. Since we've lived down here, it's been tough to make it back for the holidays. We got to visit with some of my dear friends from college and at Eli Lilly, we got to see Fifi (Jaden's BFF...well her real name is Avery, Faith and Jeremy's daughter). We also got to visit with most of the Houck family. Gordon had even met some of them so that was wonderful. Of course we got to spend a lot of time at Shelly's. We hadn't been to see her new house so I was super excited! It melted my heart to see Jaden playing with his cousins. They really seemed to have a blast with everything. Brynna and the Ally and Lilly got to hang out some too. How cute!
Of course we took TONS of pictures and I'll get those uploaded soon. We hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas.
