4th of July Brings the Beach

Gotta love Florida living!  We spent the 4th of July at the beach with the kiddos and the Slezaks.  The kids swam and played in the sand for hours!  The parents mostly sat in the shade.  Andy took all of the kids snorkeling which the kids loved.

After the beach we cleaned up and decided to try our hand in Safety Harbor to see fireworks this year.  This is the first year we've tried to take the kids to live fireworks.  Unfortunately, it was a bust. We got there and found a decent spot to watch, but we what we watched were storm clouds rolling in!  We were still hanging with the Slezaks and watched our kids slowly losing it, so we decided to pack it in.  It ended up being a good decision because the fireworks were delayed over an hour!  Our kids never would have made it!  Oh well, I guess there is always next year!!

The kiddos and I decided, one day at the beach wasn't enough so we took another trip on the 10th by ourselves!  We had a great day playing in the water, having a picnic lunch and then ending with an ice cream!
