The Toothless Wonder

And we lost the first tooth!  Not we, Jaden!!  That tooth took ages to get out!  It probably started about 2 months ago with a slight wiggle and it progressed from there.  The last 2 weeks he really got it going and every day we thought it might fall out.  Jaden is not the biggest fan of pain or blood of course so any time Gordon or I got near that tooth he freaked out.  So, we just let him do this at his own pace until yesterday.  Late yesterday afternoon, he comes over to me and says, "Mommy I can't close my mouth because my tooth is sideways!"  Sure enough it was laying down in the front of the rest of his teeth.  I told him it really was time.  He tried to get it out a couple of times and finally Gordon said he would give it a try.  Sure enough, one little tug and the tooth was out!

He was so excited! There really wasn't that much bleeding and we can already see the permanent tooth coming in below it!  We talked all night about the tooth fairy, but wouldn't you know Gordon and I forgot when we went to bed.  So, I popped out of bed this morning afraid Jaden was already awake...Gordon grabbed them money and I tried to sneak into his room.  Of course, he was waking up!!!!  I ran over to the bed and slipped my hand under his pillow to drop off the money. Luckily, the tooth bag had fallen under his bed and we swiped it up after he got up.  Whew!  The good news is...2 more teeth are already wiggly! :)
