We enrolled Jaden in Mini Mites for hockey in early January. He practices with the Mini Mites every Friday night at 6:15 to 7:00. It is so much fun to watch him and the other kids. Mini Mites is the first organized Hockey that Jaden has been involved with.
Overall he is one of the better kids out there as far as skating. His stopping is the big issue and his puck handling puts him around the middle of the pack. We have finally convinced him to wear all of his gear, pads and he sports a Sidney Crosby jersey of course.
He does get distracted quite often though. If he sees a puck near him he will go after it and hit it. He is always watching the goalies as well. He said to me he wants to be like Sidney Crosby and play goalie too! We will see on that goalie thing, it is way too expensive to buy all the goalie gear.
He loves Fridays soo much, and so do me and Steph. It is so fun to watch him out there going through the drills. Once he learns how to stop and skate backwards better we can move him up to Hockey 101. I can't wait!
